AIRCRAFT
We carry out training in the Cessna 172. It is a popular trainer, simple to fly and suited to operations from grass airfields. It is well equipped for flight in IMC with mode C transponder, ADF, DME, VOR and ILS avionics, aswell as a GPS. For extra safety, it is equipped with a portable collision avoidance system.
INSTRUCTORS
MSH Flight Training staff come from a variety of backgrounds. All of our instructors are airline pilots, and have extensive experience in many types of aviation ranging from gliding to military and police operations, large jet aircraft and anything in between. They bring to the training the benefits of their experience, resulting in the student's exposure to relevant and up to date aviation issues and the adoption of professional airmanship values from the outset.
FLYING SCHOOL FACILITIES
MSH Flight Training operates from Lands End Airport. Our office and briefing room is located within the airport building and refreshments are available in the airport cafe. Internet access for weather and NOTAM information is available and Air Traffic Control is nearby to offer advice and assistance.

The Islands are located about 30 miles West of Land's End. Trinity House also has a base at the airport, and operates helicopters to their lighthouses. Lands End Airport is the ideal place to learn to fly. It is quiet, but also exposed to scheduled airline operations helping the student to develop professional airmanship values from the outset of training.
