About Us

Our flight examiner has 20 years experience of examining for the PPL. He is an airline examiner and trains commercial pilots. Our instructors are also airline pilots who like to fly GA aircraft on their days off.

Based in the South West of England we are available to examine and instruct on your own or your hired aircraft. We can carry out PPL proficiency and skill tests and other assessments and training including the biennial one hour flight with an instructor, differences training, initial PPL and IMC tests and advanced skills training. We can also act as safety pilot as required.

Flight tests and ground exams

We create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and believe that flying assessment should be an enjoyable learning experience

We can examine for:

  • Initial PPL skills tests JAR PPL / NPPL
  • PPL/NPPL renewal and revalidation

Making Arrangements

We are based in Cornwall and normally examine or instruct from Land’s End and Newquay airports.

We are often in the location of Cardiff, Exeter and Kemble/Cotswold Airport and can travel to your location by prior arrangement.

Scheduling works best with a minimum of 7 days’ notice and even more time is desirable. It is best if you arrange the aircraft hire or bring your own aircraft, but we can do this if necessary.

PPL revalidation or renewal takes about 1hr 15 minutes of flying time plus a short briefing and de-briefing.

An IR or IMC usually takes about 1hr 30 minutes of flying.

The best way to make initial contact is by email or by phone.
